At the age of eighteen, Alvin left Edmonton, Canada to travel the world and to pursue a passion in the performing arts. His journey led him to Montreal, where he spent four years mastering skills in acrobatics, trampoline, dance, juggling and clown at the renowned National Circus School. Upon graduating, he began his a whirlwind performing career spanning 3000 shows in over 9 countries and 200 cities. He performed in children’s theater in Japan, toured the North America with his solo “Chinese pole” act, and danced in the acclaimed European musical “Notre Dame de Paris”. Alvin also his directorial debut with Kosmogonia, a 900 seat exterior circus-theatre show. In 2002 Alvin was invited to help create and perform in the biggest Cirque du Soleil show to date in Las Vegas, KÀ, as an aerial acrobat, stunt performer and character actor. In addition to his stage career, Alvin is also a dedicated teacher, having coached over 1000 children and adults around the globe in various acrobatic schools, circus camps, or volunteer teaching projects.
In 2005 Alvin began Soul Acrobats, a physical fitness and mindset training company that helps people get in shape and build leadership skills. Since then, Alvin has delivered inspiring seminars to enthusiastic crowds all over North America. He has spoken for the international yoga apparel success, Lululemon, the “number one investment coach in Canada” Raymond Aaron, and Fafie Moore, chairperson of the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce. Alvin is proud to launch the Acrofit System™ DVD Series at Whole Foods Market, a workout routine combining high energy cardio, strength training, and beginner acrobatics for non-acrobats. |
